Bdtodays Desk: Two officials of National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has been put on “special duty” as huge errors found in new textbooks for academic year 2017 distributed among the students on the first day of the new year.
The officials are– Chief editor Pritish Kumar Sarkar and senior expert Lana Humaira Khan of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
The officials have been made OSD or ‘officer on special duty’ based on the findings of a primary investigation, deputy secretary at the Education Ministry Subodh Chandra Dhali said.
It passively means their services are halted indefinitely, he added.
The decision has been taken just 17 hours before Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid is scheduled to face the media in a press conference on Tuesday morning.
