Trial of all border killers to begin soon, says BGB chief

Major General Abul Hossain expressed his satisfaction over the recent trial of 15-years old Bangladeshi girl Felani Khatun bay Indian border guards.
Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General Abul Hossain has denounced the incidents of border killing, saying it is not acceptable whoever the killer is.

Talking to reporters after his visit to Baragram border point in Sadar Upazila on Tuesday, the BGB DG also noted that the trial of all border killings will start soon.

“As it has been for Felani killing, the trial process for all the killings along the border will begin soon. Whoever the killer is, it can never be accepted,” he said.

“I’ve been visiting several border points to find out ways to ensure security on border points,” he added.

During his several border visits, the BGB chief also exchanged views with the members of Border Security Forces (BSF) of India to solve border-related problems.

Earlier in the day, Maj Gen Abul Hossain attended a flag meeting with a 20-member BSF delegation and distributed blankets among the poor people in the frontier area.
